A quiet week and Easter Sunday

Last week was a nice reprieve from the week before. Travis was feeling much better and he only had one appointment scheduled. He was having a little bit of crackling when he was breathing and I reached out to his nurse to let her know. His doctor ended up calling him in on Tuesday because they wanted to make sure that everything was ok with his lungs. Travis had x rays of his chest taken again and we met with his doctor. Everything came up fine, his doctor checked his breathing and informed us that there was nothing to be worried about concerning his lungs. He just had to have some blood drawn before we left! It was a quick and easy visit, which was a nice change of pace.
I went back to work everyday last week, I just had to leave early to get Travis to his appointment. Travis did well at home by himself resting and taking care of himself. It's amazing what you start to appreciate after things have gone awry, quiet days with little pain ease my mind! Ben came to visit for the weekend, he and Travis played video games and hung out with Travis's mother on Saturday.
Easter was Sunday and Travis was ready to get out of the house, it was a beautiful spring day full of sunshine! Travis, Ben and I ventured to Williston to see Travis's family and had Easter dinner with them mid day. Travis has been home and resting for a couple of weeks now so I wasn't too surprised that after a couple hours he was ready to head home. He was exhausted, having young children around playing and being kids is a huge departure from his daily routine. We headed home for a quiet afternoon of rest and relaxation. Travis is getting ready for a long day at the clinic tomorrow, he will have blood drawn, meet with his doctor and then have his next round of chemo. Here's hoping that everything goes smoothly!
